At TF Building and Renovations, we recently completed a detailed floor sanding project in Harrogate, restoring and finishing original timber floors across three beautiful spaces in a Victorian home — the living room, kitchen, and a unique octagon-shaped room.

This Harrogate property is full of period charm, but the floors had seen better days. We began by carefully sanding all areas using dust-controlled equipment, removing old coatings and evening out the surface while preserving the integrity of the original boards. Special care was taken in the octagon room, where the angles and shape called for extra precision to maintain flow and symmetry across the boards.

Once sanded smooth, we applied a matt lacquer finish, which protects the wood while giving it a natural, understated look — perfect for maintaining the timeless feel of a Victorian interior. The finish is highly durable and easy to maintain, making it ideal for high-traffic spaces like kitchens and family rooms.
