Reclaimed Pine Mill floor sanding

Pine Floor boards reclaimed from a Mill, sanded and sealed in Gargrave North Yorkshire

This is a recent floor sanding project we have undertaken in Gargrave North Yorkshire. Sadly the floor had just had a previous attempt at sanding and the results were depressing due to lack of experience. Getting the boards flat and is a key part to floor sanding, unfortunately going at it with a hand belt sander won’t achieve this.

As this is a solid floor, we had penalty of depth to bring the floor back round to is former glory. From a 24 grit right through to a 100 grit, the pine was flattened back with all the gouges removed to a smooth finish. A 3 coat lacquer system was used to seal the floor with a semi mat finish. Very hard wearing and also will not react to the pine the same a a hard wax oil on such a soft floor.

Really happy with he results of this sand and see this kitchen and dining room come to life with a fresh new feel.  Need some advice on a floor you would like to make good? head over to our contacts page and drop us and Email. Tom
