This recent project in Skipton involved fitting a stunning British Hardwoods Oak floor, and it was a pleasure to be part of it. We’ve had the opportunity to install a number of these high-quality oak floors recently, and the dedication of British Hardwoods to providing top-notch products really shines through.
The project took place in a bedroom that was being revamped, and our task was to measure up and install the oak flooring as part of the renovation. The oak was fitted directly onto the existing subfloor, with screws and glue applied to the tongue and groove for a secure and seamless finish. To keep the existing skirting boards in place, we used a flat bead system around the edges, ensuring a neat, professional look.
From start to finish, this was a two-day job, and by the end of the second day, the customer was already enjoying their beautiful new oak floor. It’s a fantastic addition to the property—who doesn’t love the elegance and durability of a high-quality oak floor?
