This recent project was designed for a customer who wanted to add both storage and style to their living room, while also creating a space to house a flat-screen TV. The result is a beautifully crafted, functional piece that seamlessly blends into the room’s décor. The cabinet features a beaded face frame with shaker doors, giving it a timeless, classic look with a modern twist.
The top of the unit is made from solid puppy oak, complemented by oak strip details that add an extra layer of texture and warmth to the piece. The cabinet is hand-painted in Pomeranian Ash by The Little Greene Paint Company, a soft, neutral shade that brings a touch of sophistication to the space. As with most of our cabinetry projects, the unit was built using birch plywood, with oak gables providing both durability and a polished finish.
All the fittings are soft-close, ensuring smooth operation, and we used a low-VOC paint scheme to ensure a healthier indoor environment. This combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern functionality creates a piece that’s both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
