It’s no secret that I’ve been wanting to use Rectory Red for a while, and when Richard and Deborah mentioned it last autumn, I knew we’d be a perfect fit! The rich, dead flat finish from Farrow and Ball is simply stunning, and it brings such a bold, contemporary feel to the kitchen.
Space was at a premium, so making the most of every millimetre was crucial. The solution? Birch Ply wood cabinetspaired with hardwood shaker doors and face frames, creating a beautiful balance of traditional and contemporarydesign. The addition of solid oak elements throughout, including the cooker canopy, chopping boards, and towel hangers with custom dovetail cut handles, added a bespoke touch that truly makes the space unique.
One of the standout features is the solid oak breakfast bar, which hangs on gallows brackets, keeping the floor space open and light while offering a striking feature on the opposite side of the room. This project was a full renovation, with new screed, Karndean design flooring, plastering, and decorating, all project-managed by us to ensure a smooth and stress-free process for our clients.
The finishing touch was the Ceaser Stone leathered finish worktops, supplied and fitted by Select Worktops.
It was a fantastic project to design and bring to life, and it’s built to last for many years to come. If you’re thinking about your own kitchen project, let’s chat! I’d love to help bring your ideas to life.
