Pine floor sanding and finishing

This Pine floor in a 1900s build in Bingley sanded up to a stunning finish. The floor had been poorly sanded before and stained with an extremely dark varnish, leaving the room dull and ready for a new lease of life. The old pine floorboards have so much character and just needed sanding back to their former glory.

With our fist pass with the orbital, an aggressive 40 grit was used to get rid of the old varnish and take out any cupping on the boards. With the pine being quite soft this is easy to achieve and now is ready for the following grits to get the floor back smooth. All our equipment is dust free extraction, making for a clean and simple job with as little disruption to our customers day as possible.

once the edges are feathered in and the corners are detailed with the matching grits oaf sandpaper, the Pine is then finished with Osmo Hard wax oil. This soaks into the wood and cures to a hard finish, making it durable and easy to maintain. This is a job that is done in one day so you can get back to your day to day life with as little disruption while sanding the floor as possible.
