Inframe Hague Blue Kitchen
In frame hardwood shaker Kitchen, Rawdon Leeds
This is am frame kitchen we have recently designed and created for our customers Johnathan and Becky in Rawdon Leeds. The stunning old cottage the had a small kitchen at the from of the house and with modern day needs, the kitchen was relocated to the new extension for more space. As far as our work goes, this was an absolute pleasure to work on. After the initial measure up and a good chat about ideas of how the practicalities needed to work. We set about designing the kitchen and starting incorporating ideas. On a daily basis we would would be chatting and and the project had a lot of free rein for ideas. Watching the kitchen progress on a daily basis and change, made for a creative atmosphere and we love working like this.
As with most of our projects, this is a Birch plywood cabinet build, a simple non modular face frame and shaker doors. Hague Blue By Farrow and ball was chosen and we set about hand painting for a traditional look. The solid oak theme really lends well to the blue and we chose areas of the joinery for the accents. With Becky being a little bit smaller than Johnathan we made the whole peninsular 100mm smaller to make life more easy for her. A solid oak plank top was made with corbels holding up the breakfast bar and a tea towel hanger for easy access next to the Aga.
A full size pantry with large pan drawers with automatic lighting as made for the bulk of the storage, A open dresser style cabinet was also made to display ornaments with a oak dowel plate rack and wine rack. The wine rack was made and shaped around the dowels with leather traps to hold the bottles. I am not going to lie, a lot of swearing and cursing happened during the cutting of that but it worked out in the end!!!!
White Quartz worktops were installed with a copper sink and fully integrated appliances. We could not be happier with the final project and can’t wait to visit to fit some more accessories.
