Face frame Shaker kitchen Menston Ilkley

Handmade face frame shaker kitchen Menston Ilkley

Our latest kitchen project finished off just in time for xmas 2021. This is a full handmade shaker kitchen with a solid oak theme. With all the internal cabinetry being made from birch plywood, finished off in Osmo oil for a durable, lasting finish. All the shaker doors and decorative panels are made from tulip wood and spray painted in a 10% sheen paint to Farrow and ball colours. All the doors and drawers are on soft close runners and hinges and the handles are from a company on Etsy called The Foundry Man.

The island is a stunning 3.4m long with a solid oak plank top and oak corbel pedestal to allow for a breakfast bar. This has been hand shaped to keep the live edge and a natural theme to the whole project. With solid oak chopping boards housed in the head of the island with leather straps and oak cutlery drawers. A white quartz top was fitted on the main L shape of the kitchen to house the induction hob and the undercount sink, this will be the main food preparation area. A large panty cupboard was created with spice racks on the internal doors and lighting that comes on as the door opens.

A brilliant project for us to work on and we really enjoyed working closely with our customers Mike and Jo in the design to make the kitchen exactly to the specification they wanted.
