Handmade Shaker Kitchen Skipton and Ilkley

Made to measure shaker kitchen Ilkley

This handmade Kitchen was fit in old Victorian property in Ilkley that had been split in to 3 separate apartments. As part of a on going property renovation we were included in the design and build of this beautiful off white Shaker kitchen. Firstly there were a lot of interesting angles to work around and not very much was straight or plumb with he age of the house. With the space being slightly limited we had to make the most of the cabinets we could fit and make sure there was adequate worktop space. This kitchen is full birch plywood cabinetry with tulip wood shaker doors and decorative panels. There is no chipboard or MDF. All our doors are hung on soft close hinges and all our drawer runners are on soft close runners.

With the design keeping the symmetry was important as best we could, so each bank of cupboards matches in the door pairs. Our lovely customer Frances is an Emma Bridgewater pottery enthusiast and a larder cupboard under the eves was made to house and display these, A birch ply wood plate rack was made to run with the theme. All the handles are From the anvil in black to contrast the kitchen pointed in Pointing by Farrow and ball. Karndean design flooring in American oak and a solid oak worktop to compliment. with a traditional Belfast sink and live edge oak window sill this kitchen is quite unique and practical at the same time.
