Birch Plywood and Valcromat Kitchen
Birch Plywood Kitchen
with Valchromat handleless doors
This Birch Plywood kitchen project is the epitome of contemporary design, blending sleek aesthetics with functional features. The cabinetry serves as the focal point of the space, with inset doors that create a clean, minimalist look. A running theme throughout the kitchen is the laminated edging of the Birch ply, with mitred corners for a sophisticated touch. The entire kitchen is finished in a hard wax oil that not only enhances the natural grain of the birch but also provides a durable, protective finish.
For the doors, we used Black Valchromat, a striking material that contrasts beautifully with the light, warm tones of the Birch ply. The doors feature J groove handles, maintaining a seamless and fully flat finish across the cabinetry. For practicality, all the soft-close drawers are designed with cut-outs in the Birch for easy finger access, combining style with ease of use.
The white quartz countertops were chosen to complement the walls and bring a light, airy feel to the room. The quartz provides a seamless look, enhancing the spaciousness of the kitchen.
Sustainability was a core principle in this project, with all the joinery materials sourced for their eco-friendly credentials.
