Cabinet maker designed storage
Skipton and Ilkley
As part of an ongoing renovation in Ilkley, this is a set of cabinets we designed over 3 floors on a mezzanine. With space in the property being at a premium, making the most of every area for storage was a priority. On the main floor we have a shoe cupboard with a solid oak access ladder, once up the first part, you step across to the first floor that is made for hanging coats and winter clothing. The last elevation is it access to the loft area with cabinetry spanning the back wall for bedding and sheets.
All the cabinet are made form Poplar ply wood to keep the weight in check and make for easy moving up 3 flights of stairs. This is all finished with an organic oil with a satin finish for durability. A simple tulip wood frame was made for the all the cabinets to house the shaker doors. all the shakers doors are made from tulipwood and painted in Skimming stone by Farrow and Ball. All our cabinetry is fitted with soft close hinges for a smooth feel when to door is closing.
We used Karndean design flooring on the floor to match the rest of the property, all enclosed with solid oak edges as a feature. All the handles are From The Anvil, a company we use a lot and love their products on our cabinetry.
