This is a cabinet recently made for a friend, it is to fit in an alcove and to house toys as we all know that devastation a young one can bring on a living room. With the measurements taken and a CAD plan drawn the project was an enjoyable build and really pleasing to see come together. With a birch plywood cabinet as the main compartment, oiled in and organic hardwearing wax and tulip wood decorative panels and shakers. The colour is Downpipe by Farrow and Ball and is hand painted to show the brush marks. A solid oak top was jointed at 50mm thick keeping the live edge for character. We decided to use leather loop handles form a small company in Poland that really set the project off.
