Recent project we have just been commissioned to build in Helifield. Traditional mortice and tenoned green oak canopy for above a front door. Not the lightest of creations but looks fantastic in place. 1500mm thick oak was used for the build with a main A-frame and supporting legs. small supporting foundations we dug out to bare the from load.  All the joints are pegged the the dowels left proud and finished with a UV protection oil. Blue state to match the roof and and clay ridges. Very much makes an impressive statement to the whole aesthetics of the property and will stand for years to come.
