70’s Inspired Kitchen Ilkley

70’s Inspired handmade kitchen. Something a little different!

This was fun kitchen to build and swinging tome to life. I was approached by a customer in Ilkley to build a a handmade kitchen with the influence of the 70’s In white with a hint of orange. It is always exciting when a customer has a strong idea that we have to make work that is a little different. I set about the CAD work and we finalised on the design you see. This is a full Birch plywood kitchen including all cabinets and slab doors. With the two colours to play with we used inset pull handles to contrast the orange and white and develop the theme.

All our doors and runners are on soft close hinges and runners to make for a smooth operation and ease of use. we decide to use the birch as decor ends so you can see the layers and incorporate it in to the design. Everything is lacquered to a matt finish for a lasting finish including all the wood and paint. A solid seamless Metis surface worktop and up stands were installed to finish the look of the kitchen with a inset draining board. The orange is Charlottes locks By Farrow and Ball with Bosch appliances.
