Larch Cladding North Yorkshire
Larch Cladding North Yorkshire
We’ve recently completed a beautiful Larch-clad extension in the picturesque village of Hebden, North Yorkshire. This stunning addition to the property enhances its overall aesthetic while blending seamlessly into the natural landscape. Over time, the larch cladding will naturally weather and develop a patina, allowing the extension to appear as though it has always been part of the surroundings.
The cladding features a vertical shadow gap tongue-and-groove design, a modern yet timeless look that adds texture and visual interest to the structure. Beneath the cladding, we’ve installed a waterproof membrane to ensure long-lasting protection from the elements. The finishing touch will be the application of crushed slate around the base of the extension and fencing, adding a clean, rustic finish that complements the natural materials used throughout the project.
Larch was chosen for its high resin content, making it an ideal choice for the harsh Yorkshire Dales weather. This durable, weather-resistant wood will not only stand up to the elements but will also develop a unique character over time as it ages. It’s a fantastic material that ensures the extension will remain robust and beautiful for many years to come.
