Handmade Kitchen Embsay

Inframe Shaker kitchen Embsay North Yorkshire

As part of a recent property renovation in Embsay, we were commissioned to design and build a beautiful Shaker-style kitchen as part of the overall joinery work for the property. The kitchen features a beaded face frame around the doors, adding a subtle yet distinctive detail that enhances the traditional Shaker aesthetic. Built in a non-modular style, the kitchen is entirely bespoke, with frames and doors crafted from high-quality tulip wood. The cabinetry is hand-painted in Ammonite by Farrow & Ball, a soft, neutral shade that perfectly complements the natural materials used throughout.

Tongue-and-groove decor ends dress the sides of the cabinets, providing a clean, finished look, while a hardwood cornice was added at the top to give the space an elegant touch. The worktops are made from solid oak staves, finished in a durable hard wax oil to bring out the natural grain and ensure longevity. A stunning pot sink and tap complete the practical yet stylish design.

Before construction began, we fully designed the kitchen in CAD, giving our clients a detailed visual representation of the finished space. This allowed them to see how the design would look in their home, helping them make final decisions on colour choices and layout before the installation. Once all the ideas were finalized, we set to work on crafting and building, ensuring the finished product matched their vision perfectly.
