Fitted furniture Dacre North Yorkshire
Fitted furniture as part of a property renovation to a cottage in Dacre North Yorkshire
As part of a property renovation in the picturesque village of Dacre, we were commissioned to build bespoke face frame shaker cabinets for a pantry area in a new kitchen extension. Designed to fit a slim alcove, the cabinets were crafted to maximize storage without compromising the flow of natural light in the room. Alongside the pantry, we also built a matching cupboard to house gas and electric services, ensuring the joinery complemented the overall design.
The cabinetry was constructed using durable birch plywood, with adjustable shelving to provide flexible storage. The shaker doors were handcrafted from hardwood and hand-painted in Farrow & Ball’s Ver de Terre, a soft green that complements the room’s color palette. A solid oak worktop was created, integrated seamlessly with the window sill, and finished with elegant pewter handles to add a refined touch.
On the opposite side of the room, we designed and crafted a stunning solid oak plank breakfast bar. To maintain an airy, spacious feel, we used Gallows brackets with curved supports and dowels, evoking a traditional look that suits the age of the property. A live edge upstand was added to the bar to give the piece a unique, natural finish.
