Solid Oak canopy

Made to Building regulations

This is a recent project installed in Clivager of a solid oak canopy made to building regulations on a grade 2 listed building. Once the architects were finalises we designed this in strict guidance to the given plans. It had to be reminiscent of a previous installation and stay in keeping with the property. Made from green oak sleepers for the main structure and a seasoned A frame with a curved fan, this project fit right in to place on the doorway and will weather with time to look like its been there for years to come.

Dwarf walls were built to hold the structure of the oak canopy and the slating was matched to the roof. The oak was finished in an exterior Osmo oil with UV protection. A really enjoyable project to work on and to see in its final position.
